To create a conceptual vinyl design inspired by Frank Ocean’s sound, visual identity, and emotional depth, capturing the mood and essence of his music through thoughtful typography and experimental layout.

Process
This project began with a deep dive into Frank Ocean’s discography, interviews, and visual motifs to identify recurring themes such as intimacy, vulnerability, and nostalgia. I created moodboards that explored colour palettes and textures reflective of his tone. After sketching multiple layout options, I began experimenting with the certain vibe and essence of what the conceptual album was about. The final vinyl packaging balances minimalism with rich storytelling through visuals.
Results
With my concepts below, I ended up combining al 3 moodboards. Through combining aweing colours and neutral tones with symmetrical elements, the cover exhibits the feeling of being in a state of agony and of peace. The cover is a gateway for listeners to grasp Frank’s definition of radical acceptance.
